Identification & Ownership

All clients are required to present legal identification and proof of ownership or decision-making authority for the patient.

Appointments

• New patients should contact DKVH directly to schedule an appointment.

• For emergency services, please call DKVH in advance to confirm the availability of emergency care.

Privacy & Communication

To comply with privacy guidelines and prevent miscommunication, treatment information will be provided exclusively to the registered client or to all family members simultaneously.

Hospitalized Patients

• Owners may visit hospitalized patients between 8 AM and 8 PM, with prior arrangements.

• Patient discharges are scheduled between 8 AM and 8 PM, unless a specific medical condition necessitates alternative arrangements under veterinary supervision.

Prescriptions

Please note that a fee will be applied for prescriptions issued for an external pharmacy.

Payments

• Invoices for hospitalized periods must be paid in advance via credit card.

• Treatment will commence only after the estimate and consent forms are signed and the full invoice is paid.

Medical History & Records

Providing comprehensive information regarding your pet's treatment history, including details of your regular veterinarian and full medical records, is crucial for optimal treatment planning.

Assessments & Treatment

The DKVH team will conduct thorough assessments, diagnostic procedures, and provide various treatment options and estimates. Please understand that treatment advice can only be given after a proper examination and diagnostic procedures, not over the phone.

24-Hour Services

DKVH offers 24-hour services for boarding pets and hospitalized patients. However, please note that DKVH may not be able to accept new patients 24/7.

Admission & Discharge Hours

For boarding and hotel guests, admission and discharge hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM.

Medicine & Food Purchases

Clients are responsible for ensuring the correct medicine or food is purchased for their pet, as DKVH does not accept returns for food or or medicines. Food sales are available from 8 AM to 8 PM, with no 24-hour service for food or product sales.

Payment Methods

DKVH accepts all major credit cards and debit cards. Please note that cheques and e-transfers are not accepted, and payment plans are not available.

Emergency Fees

Emergency fees apply to short-notice appointments, same-day appointments, after-hours visits, weekends, holidays, and appointments for non-regular clients.
